you will see all five colors offered by Zenith in this, its first transistor
set.
Introduced in 1955 with black and maroon as the only color choices the
Royal 500 was such a success that in 1956 three other colors were
added. I don't
consider myself a big collector of transistor radios, these are some of the few I have. Pink

After I collected all
the Royal 500 colors I looked for another model that was appealing to me and came in
several colors. I decided upon Global because of rumors of eight different colors. Red

This is the beige
version of the GR-711. I think it's unusual color may be the cause of some
of "rare" colors like raspberry and lavender. It looks more like one of the above
colors than beige but I have the original box and the word "Beige" is
clearly stamped on
